The Braille Symposium will be held September 27-29, 2012 at the National Federation of the Blind Jernigan Institute in Baltimore, Maryland.  The symposium will provide professionals, people who are blind, and other interested parties with an opportunity to learn about and discuss promising practices in braille instruction and teacher preparation in braille. The symposium will feature sessions in three formats: vignettes from blind people on how braille is being used today, presentation/discussion sessions on promising practices, and problem solution sessions.
