Free print/braille books available for children under the age of 6!

Find out how you can get free braille books for your young child who is blind or visually impaired!

Thanks to an exciting partnership between American Printing House for the Blind (APH) and Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library selected Imagination Library Books are available, free-of-charge, in print/braille format. By enrolling in the Braille Tales Print/Braille Book Program, a child is able to receive five free print/braille books each year until reaching his/her 6th birthday.

If your child is a potential braille reader under six years of age, you can apply now for the Braille Tales Print/Braille Book Program! Books are limited and enrollment is on a first come/first serve basis. Complete and submit the application form here.

Recent print/braille titles include:

  • The Snowy Day
  • Your Kind of Mommy
  • Farm Friends
  • Llama Llama and the Bully Goat
  • Maple
  • Owl Moon

Since the purpose of this program is to promote early literacy in the home, applications should be made by parents or guardians rather than schools. Please help us spread the word.
