Just Books Read Aloud is a free website with videos of children's books being read aloud.  There are currently more than 700 titles available in English, as well as other languages, including Spanish, Italian, German, French, and Japanese.  Books can be searched in a number of ways, including by length, topic, author, narrator, language, and reading level.

Other features of the site:
  • Children can't navigate away to follow other YouTube leads.
  • There are only children's books on the site.
  • The videos generally show only the books, rather than showing the reader as well, which can be a distraction.
  • Animation on the site is limited to zooming to parts of the page.
  • The books are frequently reordered to encourage listening to new books.
  • The books are broken down by video length to help match attention span with books.
  • The site is compatible with JAWS screen reader and all images have alternate text.
  • There are stand alone text hyperlinks for JAWS compatibility and the site can be completely navigated with a tab and enter key.
  • The manager of the site is responsive to requests from users.
