Kate is the Statewide Staff Development Coordinator for the Texas School for the Blind & Visually Impaired Outreach Programs.  She has a background as a teacher of the deaf and has worked with students who are visually and multiply impaired or deafblind.  She is an avid supporter of using the Active Learning approach for working with students who are visually impaired or deafblind.
