I read and write braille grade three. Does anyone else ? If so, could they let me know please.

I am reviving grade three as a viable proposition.  I feel that there is merit in reviving this code as those readers who have used it in a consistent manner will have appreciated that the challenge needed in using it will have paid dividends. I would welcome others views

Hi my name is Bridget and I work at a nonprofit organization that is training individuals that are visually impaired in Baton Rouge, LA. We are looking for different resources that we can obtain for our students who are totally blind or visually impaired and who will be taking braille classes at our facility.

Your assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Are there any sources for senior adults who have recently gone blind?  As we learn braille, a few practice books would help.

I have started teaching braille to my son he is aware of six dots and has memorized the dots of all letters. Is there any specific way of touching dots on paper or he can use any finger and if there are some rules for braille teaching can you please guide.  I live in Pakistan and my son does not have a teacher.  He is 6 years old.

I would like some information on where I can get beginning Braille books with vocabulary words, and practice reading exercises. My student who was a sighted child but who is now blind - age 11 - is beginning to learn Braille and knows the Braille alphabet quite well, but we need to go to the next level of putting words together and reading Braille books - and textbooks. Could you give me some insight as to these books - where to order, what to order, etc. I have never taught... Read more
