SLP's Role in Working with Children with CVI

This free webinar from Perkins eLearning will address Cortical Visual Impairment (CVI) through the experience of a Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) by examining the characteristics of CVI that affect speech, language, and feeding. The webinar will also identify modifications and supports for therapies and assessments when working with children who have CVI.

Thursday, June 21, 2018 from 1:00 – 2:00 .PM. Eastern

Participants will:

  • Identify the role of a Speech Language Pathologist when working with a child with Cortical Visual Impairment, or suspected CVI.
  • Describe strategies to address and utilize students’ unresolved characteristics of CVI to encourage more appropriate speech, language and feeding assessment and intervention.
