Benetech and Lighthouse Guild have teamed up to offer free eBooks to eligible students who are visually impaired!  A new program called Spotlight Gateway will provide a free membership to Bookshare’s library of accessible eBooks via access through the Spotlight Gateway e-reading app. The Spotlight Gateway e-reading application is specifically designed for people with visual impairments.
All students enrolled in the program receive a membership to Bookshare and the Spotlight Gateway app. Students who demonstrate a financial need are eligible, for a limited time, to receive an Apple iPad at no cost.

Who Qualifies?

In order to be eligible for Spotlight Gateway, an ophthalmologist must certify that you have a visual impairment or print disability that prevents you from reading traditional print materials. To register for this program please speak with your ophthalmologist.
The Spotlight Gateway program is committed to providing technology to students who demonstrate a financial need. For a limited time, students who qualify for the Federal School Lunch Assistance Program or Medicaid, would likely be eligible to receive an iPad at no cost.

What Does is Cost?

Spotlight Gateway is FREE for qualified U.S. students of any age.
