Tactile Book Advancement Group (TBAG)

This site has been great ideas for creating tactile books for children who are blind or visually impaired, including those with multiple disabilities or deafblindness.

TBAG (Tactile Book Advancement Group) is a British site that offers many suggestions of how to create tactile books.  They offer information and guidelines with downloadable booklets on tactile book design.  Resources include Telling Stories through Touch, which is a 17-page booklet on designing tactile books, and can be used as an introduction or review of basic principles.  They also provide suggestions on topics and themes, with suggestions on adapting existing books, as well as ideas for different letters of the alphabet.  Finally, they include suggested materials for making books, with illustrated examples, as well as links to materials available online.
