Braille Connection: A Braille Reading and Writing Program for Former Print Users

Materials for older readers who have lost their site

APH (American Printing House for the Blind) and NFB (National Federation of the Blind) have developed a program called Braille Connection: A Braille Reading and Writing Program for Former Print Users designed to teach braille to teenagers or adults who are already know how to read print.  The approach to teach readers who are adventitiously blind who already know how to read braille is different from the methods used for beginning readers, and this program moves quickly through tactual discrimination, on to uncontracted braille, and then through contracted braille.

It is also available as a free download in print or braille (brf) from the Manuals page
