Flashcards for Students with Low Vision

full size letters "G" and "A"

Sometimes students need both larger numbers and letters than those available on traditional flashcards.  In addition, it may be easier for them to see the text on a yellow background, rather than the standard white one.  I make flashcards that the student needs in their preferred medium with the colors they prefer. In the example on this page the cards are 3 x 3" and with a yellow background. I use cardstock because they will not be laminated.  I want to avoid glare, and yet they need to be sturdy enough for heavy use. I use the APHont, as it is the best for low vision students. It is free and can be found on APH's website.
