Supplementary Materials for Exploring Braille App

Braille flipbook

Hillary Kleck of Sensory Sun Educational Technologies shares additional materials to supplement the "Exploring Braille with Madilyn and Ruff" iPad app for children with visual impairments.  First, she presents a video tutorial which shares best practices for making the most of the app, which includes two activities:  Teach Me and Let's Play.

Also available on the site is a free PDF printable DIY Braille Alphabet Flashcard-style booklet to use along with the app.  You can print, braille, cut, and assemble it by binding the pages at the top for a landscape flip-style book or you can order it from Sensory Sun for $20.00.  This booklet can be used any time and can also be incorporated into other early braille activities or used for review and independent practice.
