I currently serve as the Iowa Deafblind Project Coordinator. Before moving to the Deafblind Project I spent 8 years working with students with visual impairments as a TVI.

Kathi Garza is a TVI and an Early Childhood consultant in the Outreach Department at Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired. She has worked in the classroom with students who have visual impairments and complex access needs, as well as in Short-Term and Summer Programs.
I have been a Teacher of the Visually Impaired since 2015. Before that I was a special education teacher at the high school and middle school level mostly.
I am an Outreach Consultant for the Kentucky School for the Blind. I enjoy providing trainings for the Teachers of the Visually Impaired in South Central Kentucky and sharing my 35 years of experience teaching in the fields of hearing impaired and vision impaired.
