My name is Letícia Barboza, I’m from a very small town in Brazil, and I’m currently a caregiver of a child with blindness. I’ve had experience before with a child with multiple disabilities, including CVI, and since 2018 I’ve been studying and producing materials for kids with visual impairments.
Gina Michell is a Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments in Southern California and a Faculty Lecturer at California State University, Los Angeles (Cal State LA). Gina draws on her prior experience as a general education teacher to build comprehensive and meaningful programs for her students with visual impairments.

She holds an EducationalDoctorate in Special Education with an emphasis in Dual Sensory Impairments andan M.Ed in Special Education (Orientation and Mobility) from Texas Tech University.She earned her B.S.Ed from Kutztown University in Teacher of the VisuallyImpaired and Elementary Education.
I am the parent of Dexter Ward, who has bilateral congenital glaucoma. When Dexter was three months we learned that he had congenital glaucoma. He had his first surgery when he was three months old and started wearing glasses at 18 months old.
I am an Education Consultant (TVI) at the Connecticut Bureau of Education and Services for the Blind, where I’ve worked for the past 30 years. I was previously a TVI and COMS in Massachusetts, and a 6th grade teacher in Fairfax County, Virginia.
