I am a Texas Teacher of the Blind and Visually Impaired. Received my Master’s in VI from SFASU. I am also a Board Member on the Rehabilitation Council of Texas for Texas Workforce Solution. I am also a parent of a son, JD who has CHARGE Syndrome.
I am the mother of an adult daughter who is blind and we live in the Philippines.
I am a teacher of the visually impaired at Foundation for Blind Children, where I have been employed for the past five years. The students in my preschool class have multiple disabilities in addition to visual impairments. There have been two students in my classes who are deafblind.
Kristie Smith has been an educator for the past 34 years in the Dallas area. She has worked with children from grades K-8 in general education, English as a Second Language, and for the past 16 years, has been a teacher for the blind and visually impaired.
Rocky is a retired art teacher from the Lower School at Perkins School for the Blind.
Tina is the mother of a boy with with LCA (Leber congenital amaurosis). They live in Slovenia.
I am a speech language pathologist at Texas School For the Blind & Visually Impaired (TSBVI). I work with teen aged and young adult students with visual impairments and communication disorders. I also teach a course online for Perkins eLearning called Autism in Visual Impairment, the Better Together Curriculum.
I am a mother of 2 boys, one who has septo-optic dysplasia/ONH. My son’s diagnosis encouraged me to do a lot of research, in turn sparking an interest of this field.

I am a teacher for Students with Visual Impairments in North Carolina. I work with students grades preschool to twelve. Prior to working as a TVI, I was a pre-k literacy coach. I feel strongly about promoting literacy and enjoy creating fun and meaningful activities for my students.
