Blindfold Games

These audiogames are apps that are accessible to children, teens and adults who are blind or visually impaired.

Marty’s Blindfold Games are audio games designed for people who are blind or visually impaired.  These accessible games have been developed for children, teens and adults who are visually impaired or sighted.  They are available for download from  iTunes and there are currently 31 games, including Blindfold Racer, Blindfold Bowling, Blindfold Solitaire and more!  Many of the games are audio versions of games that sighted children play.

The video below shows students at Perkins School for the Blind playing Blindfold Racer and talking about their impressions of the game.  These games can be a great way to encourage the development of recreation and leisure skills, as well as social interaction, which are part of the Expanded Core Curriculum (ECC).
