Braille Tracking Sheet

Create a braille tracking sheet to strengthen tracking skills of braille readers.

Here is a tracking sheet I just created for a student I am working with this summer. The student has a few tracking issues, but knows quite a few contractions. So what I did is create a tracking sheet using the contractions she knows to create sentences across the line.

You’ll notice I made “errors” as well. For instance, I didn’t capitalize the ‘i’ several times. I want to see if the student can catch the errors as they track across the line. Can you find my other errors? I like to create errors as it helps teach the student proof reading skills and allows them the chance to correct another’s work in a nonthreatening environment. Here we can model positive ways of noting errors and model how to react to making an error.
