Teachers, students, and parents at the Florida School for the Deaf and Blind discuss their use of the SMART Brailler in this video. They discuss the features that they like and how they use the brailler. The first grade teacher talks about the audio component and the fact that it helps them to self-correct. She believes that it helps their learning to progress at a faster rate because they don’t need to wait for the teacher to let them know what they need to do next. She notes that it gives them instantaneous feedback and they can make the corrections themselves and go on. The ability of the students to set the voices that they prefer allows them to have more control. The teacher notes that students with low vision like the visual display and the feedback that allows them to check what they are brailling.
