Abby Gifford
Abby has been a TVI (teacher of the visually impaired) for six years and a COMS (certified
Orientation and Mobility specialist) for 3 years. Abby has worked for Anne Arundel County
Public Schools in Maryland, Foundation for Blind Children in Arizona, and most recently
Montgomery County Intermediate Unit in Pennsylvania as an itinerant TVI and COMS. Abby
received her bachelor’s degree in teaching students with visual impairments and elementary
education at Kutztown University. She then completed her master’s degree in education
specializing in Orientation and Mobility and Applied Behavior Analysis at the University of
Pittsburgh. Abby loves to spend time with her family and friends in her spare time, especially
her puppy, Daisy.
