Jessica Kaplan

Jessica has been an Orientation & Mobility Specialist (O&M) for 8 years and a Teacher
of the Visually Impaired (TVI) for 5 years. Jessica has worked at Braille Institute, Oxnard
School District, School District of Philadelphia, and currently Montgomery County
Intermediate Unit as an itinerant TVI and COMS. Jessica received her bachelor’s
degree in English Literature at California State University Northridge, her master’s
degree in Special Education: Orientation & Mobility from California State University Los
Angeles, and her graduate certificate in Teacher of the Visually Impaired from Salus
University. She is currently enrolled in the Low Vision Rehabilitation and Vocational
Rehabilitation Therapy programs at Drexel University. Jessica loves to spend time with
friends and family, writing, traveling, and long distance running.
