About his art

Art piece that is tactile showing a shadow of a person walking with a cane.

Clarke creates tactile art, incorporating braille into his pieces to allow everyone, regardless of sight, to experience and engage with his work. His art aims to bridge the gap between sighted and visually impaired individuals, demonstrating that braille can be a medium for artistic expression and communication. Clarke views braille as more than just a system for reading; he sees it as a powerful tool for artistic creation. He uses braille dots to represent images, words, and even entire landscapes, making his art tactile and accessible.

The story revolves around the adventures of Mr. Dot, Clarke Reynolds’ alter ego, a braille artist who wants to break down stigmas attached to sight loss and show kids that they can be anything they want to be.
