Kathryn Heitman

Kat Heitman is currently a TSVI at the Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired where she works as a teacher and program coordinator in Short-Term Programs. She holds a master’s degree in Special Education and has a combined amount of thirteen years teaching content and art. She is a member of the National Art Education Association. She is co-creating an accessible art curriculum for students who are blind and visually impaired. Look for this upcoming publication on TSBVI’s website in the near future. Kat is a woodworker and artist in her free time and enjoys dancing, baking, and paddle boarding.
