Thought Process in Adapting the Worksheet
Whilst the learning objective is not stated on this worksheet, you can assume that it will be to understand how to read a thermometer and understand the concept of minus temperatures. This worksheet could be confusing to a child with visual impairment. The table and diagram on the second page are unnecessary as they are pictured on the first page. The second table contains different numbers but the same task can be completed using the first table to avoid confusion and clutter. I have put the table onto one sheet and produced a separate worksheet with questions for the childs to answer. I have produced a diagram of the thermometer, childs can complete this task by placing temperature markers in the correct place. These markers can be made using braille for non sighted learners and placed onto the same diagram that has been raised by passing it through the Zychem machine.
