Free Books from Braille Institute Special Collection!

Catalog of free braille books now available from Braille Institute

The Braille Special Collection program from the Braille Institute is designed to increase braille literacy by providing children who are blind or visually impaired with free braille books and storybook kits throughout the year, free of charge. This program fosters a love of reading by helping children create a special library of their own.

Any child who is blind or visually impaired and living in the United States or Canada is eligible for the Special Collection program and may order up to 12 braille books a year from the seasonal catalogs.  Braille Institute has transcribed more than 1,100 popular classic and contemporary titles for all reading levels—from board-books for toddlers to award-winning fiction for high school students.
