Emma Mayes

Emma Mayes started her career in schools as a deafblind intervener. Her experiences led her to complete her master’s degree in special education.  Emma now teaches students with multiple disabilities including severe-profound intellectual disabilities, physical impairments, complex health needs, and sensory loss including hearing loss, vision loss, and deafblindness. She teaches students ages 14 to 21 years old in a center-based program in a local high school.
