Functional Vision Assessment 101

A girl uses a yellow highlighter

This video is part 3 of an 11-part self-paced training series called Tools to Support You in Having a Student with a Visual Impairment in Your K-6 General Education Classroom.

The teacher of students with visual impairments will conduct a functional vision assessment or FVA to find out how your student uses vision in the classroom, school, playground, and beyond. By knowing information about how your student uses vision and how to support her to use it more efficiently, you will be better informed to support her education.
