Background

In this video an 8-year-old boy who is deafblind, due to CHARGE Syndrome, engages with his teacher in a routine to rub lotion on his face.  He has a profound hearing loss and low vision.

Goals:

  • To connect with the student while doing something he enjoyed, while building in language and supporting conversations with drawing and sensory activities
  • Follow the child’s lead and create moments of joy
